I spotted my first Swallow this morning perched on the phone wire. These graceful birds are the very epitome of Summer. Though this weekend the temperatures are set to drop and we expect a frost tonight. How these beautiful birds will fare I don't know. It's incredible to imagine that they travel up to 6,000 miles to get here to nest in the same places every year...wonderful!
