It was warm and peaceful by the lake this afternoon.
The scent of flowers hung heavy in the air. Swallows dipped low over the water making ripples as they skimmed the surface before they rose back into the air twittering as they went. Those amazing little birds have such energy, they arrived in May and in the not too distant future, they will line up on the telephone wires ready for their long journey home.
